I have a quick question regarding coding for Half-Life 1, I'm trying to implement functionality with func_tank to get kill points for those you kill using it.
For example to be able to get kills using the cannon on crossfire or using the turrets on stalkyard. The idea is basically to get 1 point for killing a player using the func_tank entity.
Does anyone have an idea on how to do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Machine guns (like ones on stalkyard) already do what you want. The frag point will go to the player who killed another player using the machine gun.
As for mortar, rocket and laser tanks, you'll need to change few things in the game code to forward the right attacker entity.
Interesting, didn't knew that the stalkyard turret already gives the kills... Still looking at the code for it I don't see any routines for giving the points...
